Power consumption from electricity is an essential element of the U.S. economy since the beginning of the century. Coal power plants, a power source of electricity are available to deliver large quantities of low cost and reliable power supply. It has become more important than the supply of petroleum and natural gas, as the latter supply is decreasing over the time. In 1995, the burning of coal produces about 55% of the electricity produced in the U.S. We also know that coal reserves are expected to last for centuries at current use. (more…)

Over the last decade, the number of countries researching the potential of biomass and bioenergy for energy services rose rapidly. This contributed to the biomass as solid and liquid fuels, an interesting and promising option among renewable energy sources available. The main reason why there is an on and off attempt of oil prices is due to depletion of our conventional energy. Our fossil fuel reserved almost nearly to its end. Hence, the world market tends to balance the trend of supply and demand. If that happens to be impossible, many countries will suffer because of insufficient of energy. We are going to take a look the advantages and disadvantages of wind energy and find out how to resolve this energy shortage. (more…)

As the name may suggest, a perpetual motion machine is a device used to provide cost free energy and if used well, it can be available for all human beings. Well, to begin with, it’s important to understand that it’s very difficult to understand, rather to conceptualize a perpetual motion machine because it can take decades to create it. Still on point, there are very many contradicting theories as to how one can come up with a perpetual motion (more…)

The entire concept of energy independence revolves around using the resources within a country. Simply put, it’s “Stay within your own means and stop taking help from outside”. In the United States of America, energy independence is a political agenda whereby the country would eventually, through shifts in its energy policy and technology development, approach self-sufficiency in its energy needs by producing close to the amount of energy that it consumes. If total energy possibilities are taken advantage of, presently the U.S. would be over 70% self-sufficient. (more…)
