Hydraulic Turbines Classification, Types, and Principles

Hydraulic turbines have two main classifications: impulse and reaction. The impulse turbine generally uses the velocity of the water to move the runner and discharges to atmospheric pressure. The water stream hits each bucket on the runner. There is no suction on the down side of the turbine, and the water flows out the bottom of the turbine housing after hitting the runner. An impulse turbine is generally suitable for high-head, low-flow applications. (more…)

Geothermal Power Stations and Non Condensable Gas (NGC)

The total installed geothermal power generating capacity in the world is approximately 9000 MWe from 21 countries, with the United States leading at nearly 3000 MWe and The Philippines with nearly 2000 MWe (Table II). Other major countries are Italy, Mexico, Indonesia, Japan, and New Zealand, with between 400 and 800 MWe each. (more…)

Modern Coal Plants – Efficient & Lower Emissions Power Plants

Coal Power Plants
Coal use today is no longer evocative of dirty power plants with polluting black smoke billowing from their smokestacks. Many of these plants have been transformed through technology to operate more efficiently and with significantly lower emissions. Some fire coal with other waste materials and others produce both electric power and heat transmission. Cases of plant retrofits and their new performance statistics are documented by various institutions, including the Energy Information Administration (http:// www.eia.doe.gov) and the World Coal Institute (http://www.wci-coal.com). The following examples highlight clean coal use throughout the world: (more…)

Main Energy Sources: Renewable and Nonrenewable Energy

main energy sources
The energy that people use every day comes from many different sources. The resources are divided into two main groups: renewable energy and nonrenewable energy. Renewable energy sources are those that can be used again and again. Renewable energy resources have unlimited supply. (more…)

How to Waste Energy in Daily Live – Top Ten List

Global warming, CO2 emissions, deforestation and loss of biodiversity on the planet are just side effects of our carbon footprint. Like hundreds of organizations to develop initiatives to reduce the effects of human energy consumption, others have simply chosen to ignore the movement. If you want to help Mother Earth, there are ten top list ways to waste of energy that you can avoid: (more…)

Solar Tower: Wind and Solar Combination

The solar technology is not only in the flat solar collector or photovoltaic panel. I follow the process ID and proof of this is the prototype plant to produce solar electricity. (more…)

Magnetic Power Generator to Produce Free Electricity

Magnetic power generator acted as a generator of free power because it generate electricity to power your home at free of cost to be. The greatest reward of having magnetic power generator is that their movement is indefinitely. You don’t need to stop it; then you have a constant supply of free energy to all the needs of your home. (more…)

Magnetic Generator Motor - Simple Steps to Build and Get Free Electricity

Magnetic generator motor supplies green and renewable energy. The energy created is very environmentally friendly and healthier for us and our next generations. You can also build a magnetic generator motor that can be set in motion deliver enough energy to power your home with these simple few steps. (more…)

How to Generate Electricity | Methods, Technology, Concept

generate electricity
Electricity is the flow of electric charge. This is happened if an electric current flow through a conductor likes copper wire. In this circumstance, the electrons flow from copper forced very slowly in one way for DC (Direct Current). In the AC (Alternating Current) the flow swings back and forth. The spreading electrical power through movement and vibration of electrons inside metallic conductors is very similar to sound waves transmitted from the vibration of air molecules. (more…)

Hydrogen Conversion Kit Gasoline – Hydrogen Fuel Conversion

hydrogen conversion kit gasolineHydrogen has many applications when it comes to fuel. It can be used both in internal combustion engines and hydrogen fuel cells. Hydrogen engines are using the same principle the same way as gasoline fuels or hydrogen natural gas burned combustion, while the chemical energy of hydrogen used to generate electricity and heat transmission. Since the electrochemical reactions produced more efficient energy compare to the combustion energy, fuel cells are created more efficient fuel compare to internal combustion engines. In the long term it will benefit to the more efficient hydrogen conversion process. (more…)
