Energy Technology Adoption and Diffusion

energy technology adoption

Beginning at the end of the technological change process, research has consistently shown that diffusion of new, economically superior technologies is never instantaneous. A new technology is adopted at first gradually and then with increasing rapidity, until at some point its saturation in the economy is reached. The explanation for this typical path of diffusion that has most relevance for energy conservation investments is related to differences in the characteristics of adopters and potential adopters. This includes differences in the type and vintage of their existing equipment, other elements of the cost structure (such as access to and cost of labor, material, and energy), and their access to technical information. Industries’ Self-Motivation for Effective Energy and Environmental Performance

effective energy

As energy prices increase, industries are more and more aware that energy is an expensive commodity that has to be used efficiently in order to reduce the costs that it entails. When companies realized that improving energy efficiency was not only about energy performance, but also about the business performance as a whole, i.e. about improving profits, the motivation for energy eco management became evident. Eco Driving Tips & Techniques to Reduce Fuel Consumption

eco driving tips
Throughout the British energy crisis there were some grounds evident that more drivers drove more slowly to conserve their vehicle fuels. This is the basis facts that showed clearly during crisis circumstances, drivers are willing to change and adopt these types of driving strategies: (more…)

Energy Efficiency Gap - Technologies and Usages Perspectives

energy efficiency technologies
Recently, attention to energy efficiency has been gaining momentum. The attention given by policy maker is mainly due to concerns about climate change emissions of carbon dioxide from fossil fuels. Particular attention has been paid on how the role of technological improvements in energy efficiency can help reduce carbon dioxide emissions. (more…)

Alternative Energy Forward to the Future

<br />
Some forms of alternative energy sources are really new; while most of the energy forms are really come form in development and scientists have been investigated for several hundred years. One of the energy forms is biomass and bioenergy. Bioenergy refers to the burning of organic materials that would otherwise be simply discarded or not being considered at all. (more…)

Improving Air Quality - Benefit Cost Analysis Perspective

improving air quality
The question has long been not whether or not to reduce air pollution, but by how much and by what means. Since the extent of the reduced discomfort and illness is not clear—and the measurement of peoples’ willingness-to-pay (WTP) for reduced discomfort and illness is uncertain—it is not easy to know how much the pollution should be reduced. But it has always been clear that reducing automotive air pollution had to be part of the overall strategy. (more…)

Hydrogen Delivery System – How to Distribute Hydrogen Energy from Productions to End Stations

hydrogen transport
An important element for the entire infrastructure of hydrogen energy infrastructure is having hydrogen delivery system the safely and efficiently deliver hydrogen from productions sites to end stations. Hydrogen delivery methods are varying widely, most of them depend on the hydrogen production method and end use. Currently, hydrogen is transferred to a limited number of production plants by using pipeline or transported by road via cylinders, tube trailers. (more…)

Small Wind Turbines for Home - Market Potential

small wind turbines
In 2001, there were 14,000 small wind turbines for home/domestic use in the United States. The market potential for national and international market for small wind turbines is growing and have bright prospect. Small wind turbines as producing small energy are having the capacity up to 8% of the electricity needs of the United States in 2020. (more…)

Insulating Finished Exterior Walls

insulating walls

Many home owners want to use brick veneer exterior walls for their houses. The brick is usually the automatic choice for outdoor decorating because of their rarity, beauty and durability advantages over other buildings materials.

Brick was considered as a coating material and beautify the exterior walls, because they are rugged, durable and comfortable to hold and pleasing to the eye. The wall panels are made of bricks that will not fade, are durable and made timeless, even in adverse weather conditions and the environment. For this reason, it is preferable that the insulation methods for exterior walls and the house to protect against damage caused by different weather conditions that caused a negative tendency on the outer walls of the houses.

It must be made arrangements to clear some brick walls, founded as they are porous by nature, to protect against the effects of moisture during the rainy season or cold, summer or winter.

It is common in wall construction paper, wooden frame, where a combination of mixed cement, sand, lime and water and used the stones to be fixed.

It is nearly impossible for a do-it-yourselfer to insulate vapor barriers a finished exterior wall without tearing off the wallboards. Competent professionals can do this work for you.
